Folds With Both Seats No Yes Yes

One Hand Push No (my wrists will never be the same) Yes (with a little muscle) Yes (effortlessly)
Curb Hop No No Yes
Storage Basket Large/easy to access Large/easy to access HUGE!!
Warranty Frame has lifetime warranty/all other parts are 1 year 1 year warranty 2 years (3 years if you register the product within 3 months!)
Seating Arrangements Not as functional as they seem… Although you have many variations, they just aren’tvery  functional. If you have the bottom seat facing forward and the main seat parent facing, the seats cannot recline. Not even an inch! When both seats are facing forward, you can’t really recline them without squishing one of the kiddos tiny feet. The best set up for this stroller is when it’s used with one toddler, and a newborn in their car seat (using the car seat adapters). Plenty to choose from! My fave? Both seats can face eachother!!! That almost never happens with tandem doubles! I find the COE seating arrangements to be the most functional. There is enough space between the seats that the kids are comortable, and actually have leg room. The Bomb. You can pretty much recline your seats in any position your stroller loving heart desires. My favorite set up is having the rumble seat forward facing, and the top seat parent facing and FULLY reclined for nap time. Yeah, you read that right. I said FULLY reclined. All that awesomeness does have a few flaws… see blow
Car Seat Compatible Yes Yes Yes
Adjustable Handlebar Yes, telescoping No Yes, telescoping
Travel Friendly No Not really, but doable. Yes, but only if you use their travel bag!
Cons The second seat placement (right on tops of the front wheels), seating variations, the push, and the fold. I think it’s great that Baby Jogger kept their easy fold on the City Select, but my shins have permanent damage from being slammed into when I folded it.  Also, everything is separate. Belly bars, snack trays, etc. I don’t love the feel of the fabric on the canopy, and the fact that it doesn’t stay taught when you recline the seat. I also wish the handlebar was adjustable! I don’t love the size of the rumble seat. In a perfect stroller world, the rumble seat would have a higher weight capacity, adjustable leg rest, and deeper seat. I wish there was a little more room between the leg rest on the main seat and the rumble seat. I also don’t love the price tag… Ha!

I am being really picky here….

Pros I love that you have the ability to use this stroller from the birth of your first child, to your second, and even third! You can add on the Baby Jogger glider board, and you have an instant triple stroller! I love the quality of the fabric and frame, and the forever air tires are awesome! I also love that both seats are the same size and have the same weight capacity.  I LOVE all the bang for your buck on this one!! Out of the box you get both seats, belly bars, car seat adapter, AND parent cup holder. I love the space between the seats, and I love that they upgraded the tires from the older version and gave the Elite a great push! This stroller is not compact, but, it has everything you need in a double stroller at an affordable price! I call that a Mom win!  Everything. I love the seating variations, push, ease of fold, and quality! All jokes aside, this stroller is well worth the steep price tag. At least you get some belly bars with your seats! This is another stroller that will take you from your first baby, to your last.

What I don’t like about a stroller, you may love. My recommendation? Go to the store, borrow a friends child if you need to in order to so you can try out both seat (I’m 100% serious), and push that bad boy around. Fold it, unfold it, turn every corner of that store. Your double stroller should be easy to use, comfortable for the kids, and make life a little easier 🙂

Happy Strolling!!

Entourage by Austlen…get ready!

To say that I’m excited for the Entourage stroller to come out is an understatement (roughly 90 days…not that I’m counting or anything). I literally had a dream about this stroller the other night! You know it’s good when you have dreams about it… I mean, have you checked out the website and watched their video of all the ridiculously awesome variations!?! It’s amazing. I think of all the times I’ve traveled with my kids alone, and been a sweaty hot mess lugging around car seats, diaper bags, luggage, etc. and wishing there was an easier way. Well now there is. The Entourage completely revolutionizes inline double strollers and will make traveling with kids 1,000 times easier! #thankyoujesus #stilltraumatizedfromthelasttrip

As a single stroller, the Entourage has features all parents will absolutely love! The seat is spacious for your child, holds up to 50 lbs, features 5 recline positions and an adjustable leg rest.  The stroller comes with the market tote, and can hold every possible necessity from groceries to all of your luggage. That’s up to 150 lbs of kids and gear…insane!  Below is a picture of the Entourage retracted and in use for one child.

Heading to the airport or beach? Just expand the stroller and attach the Cargo Bag and you are ready to rock n roll!

This is where it gets super exciting for me… You can expand the Entourage into 3 different stages allowing you to truly personalize this stroller to your needs. Baby or Toddler and a big kid? Just add the Platform Rider or the Jump Seat. Two toddlers? Not a problem. Get yourself the reclining/stowable second seat! Twins? They’ve got you covered! The Entourage can take two infant car seats and still leave room for all your gear! #mindblown

FullSizeRender FullSizeRender

You would think a stroller with this many configurations would have a huge fold, right? nope. It’s actually quite compact! The Entourage folds with the jump seat or second seat AND is self-standing while folded… ha! I am laughing because it’s just too awesome!!

Austlen clearly had parents in mind when creating this beauty! Every possible thing you would want or need in a stroller is all rolled up into this bad boy. This is a total game changer and is well deserving of all the hype! Who else is excited for this to be out?!?! I may need to take an unplanned trip with the kids to put this masterpiece to the test… 😉

Double Strollers – ATST’s Honor Roll

Hi Guys! I’m back with my favorite double strollers (I’ve used each one on the list) that are here to make your life with two or more a bit easier!

What makes a double stroller great? A few things…  1) It must have an easy fold. Grocery shopping with two kids is bad enough.  I don’t want to fight my stroller in the parking lot to fold it.  2) It needs to be comfortable for your little riders. After all, you bought it for them…right? (this is not true. I buy strollers because I like them. #notashamed). 3) It must have a one hand push . I don’t know about you guys, but I am a big fan of the push and pull. I.E. push the stroller with my right hand and pull the shopping cart behind me with my left.  It’s the only way!  If I can’t maneuver a stroller with one hand,  it’s gone.  4)  It needs to have ample storage space.  Two kids = A LOT of $h%I.

So, without further ado…

  1. UPPAbaby Vista – 2015

Grade: A+

Price: $989.98 (silver frame) – $1039.98 (carbon frame)

Weight: 33.5 lbs (with both seats)

Max Weight Capacity: 50 lbs Main seat – 35 lbs RumbleSeat

Fold: Super easy fold with both seats

Dimensions: Unfolded: 26.5”W x 37”L x 39.5”H – Folded with seat second attached: 26.5”W x 14”L x 33”H

What makes it great: The fact that this stroller is just as good as a double as it is a single makes it amazing. I love everything about the 2015 Vista! As a double, you don’t compromise the push, fold, or storage space. That’s not always the case when it comes to a convertible stroller. Each seat has large extendable canopies , easy one hand reclines, and a million and one seating configurations. Plus, I could probably fit in the storage basket. It’s fab, and worth the price tag!

2. Mountain Buggy Duet

Grade: A+

Price: $599

Fold: So easy it will blow your mind.

Dimensions: Only 25 inches wide!!!!

WeightL 33 lbs

Max Weight Capacity: 40 lbs per seats

What makes it great: Ummm, it’s 25 inches wide. Need I say more? The MB Duet is overall the best side by side double available right now. It’s narrow, has a crazy easy fold, doesn’t weigh a million pounds,  and decent storage space. I could go on and on. It rocks! Want a side by side that can handle it all? This is your stroller.

3. Contours Options Elite

Grade: A

Price: $299.95

Fold: Simple one piece fold

Dimensions: Folded 15″ L x 22.13″ W x 36.75″ H  – Unfolded: 49.5″ L x 26″ W x 39.8″ H

Weight: 38 lbs

Max Weight Capacity: 90 lbs

What makes it great: Everything. It’s no secret I am a huge fan of the COE! Why am I such a big fan? Because a company finally listened to parents and made a tandem double stroller that is not only awesome, but AFFORDABLE! The COE (Contours Options Elite if you haven’t caught on yet) has a great push, large storage basket with easy access, enough space between seats so the kids aren’t kicking each other and large extendable canopies (with mesh inserts!). I also love a small feature you may not notice as first glance…the seats have a little mesh pocket attached which is perfect for holding toys, binkies, etc.  There is a certain tandem stroller out there that everyone and their mother has…I say step away from that beast and enter the world of the Contours Options Elite! You’ll love how functional it is! #COEfanforlife

4. Valco Snap Duo2

Grade: A+

Price: $499.99 – $579.99 (Tailormade pictured above)

Fold: Easy and flat!

Dimensions: Unfolded: 29.5″W x 30″L x 41″H  –  Folded: 29.5″W x 31″L x 13.25″H

Weight: 24 lbs

Max Weight Capacity: 44 lbs  in each seat

What makes it great: This bad boy weighs in at just under 24 lbs  making it the ultimate everyday or travel stroller. I love the easy one hand push, roomy seats for the kids (adjustable leg rests are a huge plus), and most of all, the fold! The fold is insanely compact and has a carry strap for easy handling.  Something else I love about the fold is that it folds into itself. This is perfect for travel! Who wants seat fabric getting all dirty during the flight? Not me.

5. Bugaboo Donkey aka The Donkey

Grade: A-

Price: expensive.

Fold: 2 step fold

Dimensions: 29″ in duo mode  –  Folded: 20.5 x 29 x 36.6”

Weight: 33.4 lbs

Max Weight Capacity: 37.5 lbs per seat

What makes it great:  It’s the Donkey!  It’s amazing and expensive. If you can swing it, get it!  Having the ability to parent face one child and forward face the other is somewhat priceless. The push is fabulous, the seating configurations are unbeatable, and again, it’s the Donkey.  I’m convinced that if you look at a Donkey for longer than 1 minute,  you will  catch Bugaboo fever. It’s real, and takes over quickly! You won’t sleep until you get that Donkey!

5. Thule Urban Glide 2

Grade: A

Price: $649.95

Fold: One hand and compact

Weight: 32 lbs

Max Weight Capacity: 100 lbs total

DImensions: Folded – 35 in x 30.75 in x 14 in  (seat  back height 21 inch)

What make it great: The Thule Urban Glide 2 is probably the prettiest jogging stroller on the market. The design is super sleek and it’s fairly light weight for a jogger.  It makes me want to wear lululemon every day and take up running (I am way too lazy for that so I’ll just stick to aggressive mall walking).  The front wheel on the Thule is lockable, and features rear suspension for a super smooth ride. The storage basket is awesome and actually has a water-resistant zip top cover to keep all your belonging safe and secure while on the go! If you need a double stroller that can handle anything from a 10 mile run to a quick Target trip, the Thule Urban Glide 2 might be the perfect pick for you!

And there you have it! The best double strollers on the market…for now at least…

Rumor has it a few amazing doubles are coming out at the end of the year. **Cough, Cough, UPPAbaby G-LINK and Peg Perego Book for Two**  <— CAN’T WAIT!!

Congrats on making ATST’s honor roll!

Happy Strolling

Englacha 2 in 1 Junior X Rider #awesome

I was really skeptical of the Englacha 2-In-1 Junior X Rider. It looked REALLY cool, but I wasn’t sure how great it would work once attached to our stroller.  Let me tell you, I ‘ve been missing out! BIG TIME.  If you have 2 or more children, you NEED this.

The Englacha 2 in 1 Junior Xrider allows you to turn pretty much any stroller  into a double or triple.  This bad boy is awesome!  My son LOVES sitting in the seat and became a little obsessed…like demanding he eat his dinner while sitting in the seat… HA! #momoftheyear

When we were on vacation, I used this with the Nuna Mixx for the entire trip.  It was perfect for our needs!

The seat comes with 3 sets of adapters which allow it to attach to most strollers.  In addition to the adapters, you also receive 2 velcro straps which I used to get a more secure fit.  Not really if that’s what they’re used for, but that’s what I used them for…LOL.  Assembly is a little daunting, but I did it in about 15 minutes. It was worth every minute… and the broken nail.

I attached the Englacha Junior Xrider to the Nuna Mixx, Valco Snap4, BOB Duallie, UPPAbaby CRUZ, Bugaboo Bee and City Select.  It fit pretty well, and I was able to maneuver the strollers easily.  You definitely need to adjust your stride or stand to the side when walking… But, if you have a good single stroller, that’s not an issue.

The seat can hold up to 45lbs, has a handlebar for your toddler to hold on to, and seat belt for some added safety.  My 2 1/2 year is able to hop into the seat himself, and buckle the seat belt.  It’s easy to use, and appears to be quite comfortable!

The reviews I read on the Englacha were all over the place, so I’m here to tell you it’s worth it!  Buy this if you need a quick second seat for your toddler.  It’s worth every penny!!!!

NOTE** This is universal and fits most strollers. This model will NOT fit the UPPAbaby VISTA. Click HERE to see the Englacha model that will!

Happy Strolling!
