Peg Perego Book Pop Up Review

Enter the world of the Peg Perego Book Pop Up.

From the fabric on the seat to the belly bar, this stroller is totally gorgeous. There is so much attention to detail and its  incredibly well made. Harper has loved riding in the Peg  Book Pop Up because the seats sits totally upright! She’s got a good view and is super cozy in the plush seat!

I have a lot of ground to cover, so I am breaking this review up a little differently than normal…enjoy!

Chassis: The Chassis (frame) is beautiful and sturdy. I’ve tried out more stroller than I  will ever admit, and often times the frame seems wobbly.  The Book Pop frame is strong and looks sleek in the dark grey/black color that’s standard for the stroller. The lock for the swivel wheels is on the Chassis, just below the Peg Perego logo. I actually really like this location as opposed to it being on the front wheels like most strollers. You don’t have to bend down to switch from swivel to lock, you just turn the knob and you are good to go!  It’s the little things…

Toddler Seat:  Cozy!! The fabric is absolute perfection. It’s soft and you can see right of the bat, its high quality. After all, this is a luxury stroller!

The seat itself is spacious, and offers many recline positions. The seat and backrest slide open creating a super comfortable position for the child. We’re all about comfort! The seat can face the world, or parent face, and comes with the belly bar! Love.

Bassinet: This is probably my favorite feature of this stroller.   When I pulled this stroller out of the box,  Harper immediately climbed in to the Bassinet and laid down. She is 15 months and 25lbs. She obviously should NOT be in a Bassinet, but, I think it’s worth noting just how big it is. Very roomy! You can also FOLD the stroller with the Bassinet attached. yep. that’s awesome. The Book Pop Bassinet is approved for overnight sleep which great for travel or long days out with the baby.

Canopy: Peg got it right with their canopies. They have the best canopies on their strollers and the Pop Up is no exception. It’s huge!! It pretty much covers the entire stroller. This is great if you live in a warmer climate with lot’s of sunshine, or, if you choose to torture yourself and live somewhere like Chicago, offers amazing protection from the crazy wind, snow, and rain.

Push: I LOVE the push on the Pop Up. It’s a one hand push and fabulous! It almost feels like the push of a stroller with air tires, without the hassle of pumping the tires. The front wheels swivel or lock and are large enough that they should handle the snow just fine!

Fold: This fold is freakin’ awesome. The Book Pop up folds into itself like a book, hence the name, and it super compact! It’s crazy easy and also keeps this amazing fold with the Bassinet attached!! Rounds of applause to Peg Perego for that awesomeness.

Did I mention it folds with one hand? Boom!

Overall, I really love the Book Pop Up! This is such a great stroller for expectant parents. With that fabulous Bassinet and super easy fold, this is definitely a winner! Plus, it comes in the most beautiful colors (10 to be exact). I don’t have anything negative to say about this ride. It passed my rigorous testing (aka Target during nap time ) and is a dream to push!

Mixx it up!

If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram,  you’ve probably seen a million and one pictures of this beautiful stroller I’m reviewing today.  We are in LOVE with our Nuna Mixx. This stroller offers so many great features, and is definitely worth taking for a test drive.

I searched high and low for the Nuna Mixx in the Mykonos color.  It’s beyond gorgeous and was the perfect stroller to take on our trip down to the Florida Keys.  I definitely put the Mixx through some rigorous testing, and it passed with flying colors.  Let’s get started! Continue reading

Snap4.

When my Husband gave the OK to add a new stroller to our fleet (thanks, babe), I knew exactly what I wanted to try. The Valco Snap4.  I’ve eyed this stroller for a while because it has every feature a busy mom like myself, is looking for.  Valco is hard to come by in stores, so, I know my stroller loving Mommas will really appreciate this review 😉

Hope you enjoy!

If I had to describe the Snap4 in one word, it would be “Easy”.  It’s just so freaking easy.  It’s easy to assemble, easy to push, easy to fold (with one hand) and easy to carry (it even has a carry strap).  You all know by now that I love anything that makes my life easier! Continue reading

Uppababy Vista vs. Uppababy Cruz – 2015 Edition

This is a frequently asked question in Chicago Stroller Shop.

What’s the difference between the 2015 UPPAbaby Vista and 2015 UPPAbaby Cruz? Let me break it down for you, so you can decide which is a better fit for your lifestyle!

Let’s get started. I can probably guarantee that if I took a walk downtown right now, I would see a minimum of 15 Uppababy Vistas. I was out with the kids and my niece last week, walking around Lincoln Park, and I stopped counting after 15. How crazy is that? That definitely says a lot about the stroller. Everyone wants it, and with good reason.

The 2015 Uppababy Vista is probably as close to perfect as they come. The new Vista has an easy one step fold, insanely large storage basket, shock absorbing front & rear suspension, reversible toddler seat, extendable SPF 50 sunshade, 180 degree recline and a one button telescoping handlebar. The 2015 Vista now includes an easy to clean bumper bar and an updated bassinet. This stroller is easy to push, easy to fold, and is easy on the eyes. But the Vista isn’t just an amazing single stroller, it is now, a fully functioning double stroller with the purchase of the 2015 Uppababy Vista Rumbleseat. Uppababy updated the rumble seat this year making it able to recline, face either direction, and adding the same SPF 50 extendable sunshade that’s featured on the toddler seat. This set up can even work if you have 2 littles and a toddler. Just attach the Piggyback and you are set up with a totally awesome triple stroller!

Everything I just stated above is why the Uppababy Vista is the number one choice amongst Moms. This stroller will take you from the newborn stage, with the use of the bassinet or carseat adapters, to those crazy toddler years, and keep you looking good along the way. #Vistaforthewin

Now, for MY personal favorite, the Cruz. Many of you would say there is no comparison between these two strollers. I feel differently. When someone says they are looking for a new stroller, I always tell them to buy a stroller that fits their needs now. Worry about a double stroller later on… enter the Cruz.

The 2015 Uppababy Cruz is a mini Vista in my eyes. It has a better push than before with their new AirGo tires, huge storage basket, front & rear facing toddler seat, easy one step fold, SPF 50 extendable sunshade, and now includes an easy to clean bumper bar. When it comes to size, the Cruz is more compact and perfect for everyday use. It’s light weight, has a fairly small footprint and will always be my go to stroller. The Cruz CANNOT have the Rumble seat added on, but, you can add the Piggyback and use this with an infant and toddler or two toddlers. If you love the Vista but are looking for a slightly smaller set up at a more reasonable price range, the Cruz is for you. It will forever be my favorite!

So, my fellow stroller lovers…which Uppababy is right for you???
