Austin & Fowler Diaper Bag

I’ve been seriously crushin’ on the Austin & Fowler Diaper Bags for a while. I was drawn to them because they don’t look like your typical diaper bag and are super stylish! Since I don’t carry around a purse these days, my diaper bag is somewhat of an accessory. I want it to look good yet still be functional for life with two kids. The Austin and Fowler bags are just that and here is why I love them! #getreadytofallinlove

Style: The bag is classy and will never go out of style. The design is sophisticated (think stripes and beautiful prints, not elephants and teddy bears). I don’t feel like I am carrying around a diaper bag, and anyone that sees me carrying around this beauty wouldn’t think it’s meant to hold diapers and sippy cups. It’s BEAUTIFUL and you feel good carrying the bag! The bags are actually designed by a Mom and you can tell. It’s thoughtfully designed and perfect for us Mom’s on the go!

Detail: This detail is bananas! B-A-N-A-N-A-S! I love me some Gwen Stefani and you guys know I throw in some lyrics any chance I get… HA! Ok, back on track.  The bags have beautiful leather accents including leather bottoms with luggage feet making it durable. The leather pulls on the zippers of the removable pouches are embossed and labeled “diapers & wipes” “clothes & extras”, etc. The pulls are also removable so you can switch up the pouches to what works best for you… Hello!! How brilliant is that!?! I can’t. It’s little things like this that make me swoon.

Comfort: It’s comfortable to carry! The top handle straps are adjustable so you can get just the right fit and the messenger strap allows you to carry this so many ways! I always appreciate longer straps when it comes to a Diaper Bag and the option to wear is cross-body. When I’m out with the kids, I need to have both hands free because they are usually running in opposite directions. Not everyone loves a backpack style bag, so this is the perfection option. Another plus is that it’s not heavy… I was expecting the bag to be heavy once it’s full but somehow it’s light-weight. Not sure what kind of sorcery is going on here but I’m digging it.

Durable: Because of the leather bottom and luggage feet, this bag is going to LAST YOU!!! I read about people complaining of their diaper bag falling apart after a few short months and this is not going to happen with the Austin & Fowler bags. This will work as your diaper bag and easily transition to your travel bag or tote when you are past the diaper bag stage. This is an investment piece that will stand the test of time so make sure to take care of it. This is not your average diaper bag, folks!

Functional: You all know how much I LOVE staying organized. The interior of the bag has plenty of pockets and included removable pouches that help you stay as organized as you want! You have a place to put diapers, wipes, clothing, snacks, toys, etc. There is no guessing or digging through your bottomless pit of a bag to find what you needs. It’s all there in your pouches! The interior and pouches are in a bright color so everything is easy to find if you decide to forego the use of the pouches. I have the Blake bag with Fuchsia lining and it’s STUNNING!!!! In addition to the bottle pockets on the inside, the bag also features a zippered pock on the outside that is for all of your Mommy needs. I keep my wallet, cell phone, sunglasses, keys, lip gloss, etc. in the outside pocket for easy access to all of my goodies. I love that it’s separate from the kids necessities and easy to get to. Simply perfect!

I could go on and on about these bags. I honestly could! I fell in love with them when I first saw their photos on Instagram and then fell hardcore when the Blake arrived on my doorstep. It felt and looked luxurious but still met all of my needs as a Mom. I’d be lying if I said I couldn’t wait until the kids are completely out of diapers and the sippy cup stage because I am ready for the bag to be all MINE. This would make the perfect work tote or weekender and adds a touch of style to my everyday Mom uniform. A.K.A leggings, t-shirt, messy bun. Don’t get me wrong, I love my Mom uniform, but my Austin & Fowler bag makes me feel a little more put together when I leave the house! I take all the extra help I can get. #messyhairdontcare

Happy New Year!!! I am so excited to be kicking off 2016 with this review, and, of course, a giveaway for you guys!

To enter the giveaway, click HERE!!

I love this Hip Cub diaper bag!  The Black & White Stripes and dark tan accent on the top handles, messenger strap and pockets, make such a perfect match. The bag is spacious and features a total of 3  pockets  on the inside. There are two pockets with elastic at the top,  and one zippered pocket to keep any extra necessities you need for the day. I use this pocket as my “mommy pocket”,  but,  I think this would also be a great spot to keep band aids, medicine, etc. for the kids! On either side of the bag are two hidden bottle pockets that rock my world, and 2 large external pockets in the front. So many possibilities for organization… that makes my OCD self super happy 😉

The Hip Cub Diaper Bag also comes with a changing pad and stroller clips! Love it! The stroller clips are such a great accessory, and a total must have. They are fabulous for attaching your Diaper Bag to the handlebar (be careful though,  you never want to hang too much weight from your handlebar!) or the frame of the stroller,  to leave you storage basket open for extras. These are also great to use on a shopping cart for groceries, Target, etc.  Seriously, so convenient and I love that they come with the bag! #hipcubforthewin

Sage Spoonfuls Review

I’ll be the first to admit, I don’t do much in kitchen.  Aside from making Chili for Sunday Football, or, Matzoh Ball soup when I miss my Mom’s cooking, I’m a disaster in the kitchen! My Mom and Sisters are all Giada De Laurentiis, making gourmet meals for their family… meanwhile, I’m over here trying to figure out how to turn on our KitchenAid Mixer we got as a wedding gift….5 years ago! Somehow, that gene skipped over me.  I was too intimidated to try to make my own baby food when Brody was little, and envious of Mom’s who prepped delicious little purées for their baby. I am so mad at myself for not finding this product sooner and giving it a try! It’s easy, practical, and so much more nutritious!

If you have the same fears I did, or think it’s too much work, I have the best little gadget for you guys. It’s so easy!!!! I promise! I seriously LOVE this set and am so excited to be giving one away! Make sure you enter HERE for a chance to win the Homemade Essentials Package!

Sage Spoonfuls is a wonderful brand dedicated to helping you make nutritious homemade food for your little ones. What I love most about this line, and the Homemade Essentials Package, is that it has everything you need to get the process going. The  Homemade Essentials Package even includes an amazing cookbook with recipes and ideas on what to make for your kiddo. The book is broken down by months (4-6 months, 7-9 months, etc.), taking the guesswork out of what you should feed your little one during that time. The possibilities are endless, and this will help keep it fun and fresh!

From adding oats to make a delicious Banana Coconut Oatmeal to making Strawberry Watermelon Popsicle, Sage Spoonfuls has you covered! There’s even a section with recipes for the entire family. If you grab this book, make sure you check out the Chicken Soup Pasta recipe!!! Delish!!!

What’s in the box:

Immersion Blender w/food processor attachment

6 – 4 oz   glass storage jars

60 labels

Pocket Guide (love this! Goes over infant CPR and is great  to keep in your diaper bag!)

Cook Book with hundreds of yummy food combinations!

I also love THESE 8 oz glass jars that are sold separately. These are perfect to use for yummy smoothies! You could use them to store veggies, fruits, etc. while on the go!

Brody and I did a video review so you can see this product in action. He was a great little helper, and had a little too much fun pouring water into the green beans. The unedited version of this video is AMAZING….Ha!! But, I love that he was so into helping out in kitchen! If you have a toddler and new baby, this could be a really great way to get some one-on-one time in while being productive, but still having fun together 🙂

This is a total Mommy Must Have and should be on your list of things you need for your baby! You will have so much fun feeding your little cutie all of the yummy food made with your Homemade Essentials Package! 😉

Ju Ju Be – Hobo Be

So, as you all know, I LOVE my Ju Ju Be.  Like, really love.  If I’m being honest with myself, it’s borderline obsessive.  I have one Mama to thank for this. I won’t name you…you know who you are! 😉

Today  I’m reviewing the Ju Ju Be Hobo Be in Monarch. I am sooooooo excited to talk about this bag and why I think it’s  aaaaaahhhhhhhhmazing!

First off, if you are new to JJB, you won’t be for long.  When you’re done reading this review, click HERE to check out the website and browse your new obsession. If you’re already a JJB lover like myself, I hope this review lives up to your expectations…eek!

The Hobo Be is the perfect little bag for every day use. Brody and Harper are at the age where I don’t need to bring everything and kitchen sink with me when I leave the house, which is why I chose the Hobo Be. I was nervous when I first took it out of the box. It looked small, but I quickly realized  this bag can hold way more than I would have ever thought…

I use this bag as a cross body and love how it fits and looks on the body. I am 5’2” 118 lbs (I’m being a little generous there lol), and it fits me perfectly. The bag hits right at the hip when I have the strap set to the longest setting.

You would never know that this is a diaper bag if you were walking by me in the grocery store.  Maybe that’s because I have it in  the Monarch “print” (all black), but I still think even in any of the adorable prints JJB has, you wouldn’t guess it’s a diaper bag.

This is officially my go to bag, and I also love using it when I’m out without the kids because of the way I can keep it organized.

Like I said before, this bag is small, but can fit everything you need. Here’s a list of what I bring when I walk out of the house with both kids:

3 Diapers for each

3 Binkies (we lose a lot of binkies)

2 Sippy Cups

My planner (I know, I know… who still uses a planner!?)

Wallet, Keys, lip gloss, sunglasses.

Ok, so here’s how I pack my bag up! I like to use Quicks or Be Sets to keep everything organized…

Large Set Piece: 6 diapers

Medium Set Piece: Snacks

Small Set Piece: Binkies

I keep my wallet in one of the mesh pockets in the main compartment.  Phone, Lip Gloss, Sunglasses, and Keys go in my favorite part, the Mommy Pocket.  This pocket rocks my world.  Especially when you are out running errands and need quick access to keys, phone, debit card, etc.  It’s perfection!  If we have a couple stops, I usually pull my debit card out of my wallet and secure it in the zipper pictured below  (where I have my gum) for easy access.  This pocket also has a spot to secure your keys!  Prior to JJB entering my life, I would I lose my keys no less than 20 times a day. This little key chain is awesome and helps keep me sane!

Ok, so let’s take a look inside the bag….

Large set piece with the diapers is in the main compartment along with the Medium Set Piece holding the snacks for the kiddos. I have the small set piece in the mesh pocket to keep it from floating around. Wipes in the other mesh pocket and I also keep my wallet in the third mesh pocket for quick access and to keep it secure. My planner goes in the long zippered pocket and Brody has a few cars in the small zippered pocket in case of emergency. Taggie goes on top and we are ready to head out the door!

As you can see, there is TONS of room, and so many pockets I haven’t used to their maximum potential. I could easily use this bag for a long day at the Zoo if I wanted. Here’s a peek inside of the Mommy Pocket so you can see how roomy it is! It’s the perfect size to carry all of your mommy needs, without making the bag look bulky.

Ok, here is the final product!  My bag is completely packed with everything listed above, and 2 sippy cups on either side.  I have just enough room left over to store the kids fall coats if needed so I don’t have to carry anything!   LOOOOOOOOOOOVE.  This is honestly my favorite Ju Ju Be bag.  I tend to overpack ( who doesn’t?), because with two kids you typically need a lot of crap.  I wanted something that was compact, but still able to hold everything I need while looking pretty!  The Hobo Be is the perfect everyday for all of us Mama’s on the go!

Before I end this review and send you on your merry way to the JJB website to order a new bag, I wanted to go over some great features all the bags have! One: ALL of the bags are MACHINE WASHABLE (air dry). Yessss!  They feature a Teflon fabric protectant which helps repel stains. I have washed each one of my bags and they come out looking brand spankin’ new. Two: The beverage pockets are insulated keeping everyone’s sippy’s or water bottles at the perfect temp. Three: Ju Ju Be Bags always have a light-colored lining so you can actually find what you’re looking for!  Say bye, bye to those days of digging through that black hole!

I could probably go on and on, but I know you will eventually come and join me on the pink side… 🙂
